MSVR return this weekend, 13/14 April, for two days of exhilarating racing at Silverstone.

The Northamptonshire circuit’s National configuration will welcome a collection of championships and series for their first events of the 2024 season. With the first podium places of the year on offer, expect drivers to be giving it their all.

Bernie’s V8s and Historic Outlaws will bring both American muscle and power to the weekend’s proceedings, as the series continues with its aim to make the off-track experience as engaging as the on-track racing. Spectators can expect to be transported back to the ‘glory days’, thanks to the rich sights and sounds of V8 racing. A grid of impressive Formula Ford 1600s will also be looking to kickstart their new United Formula Ford season in the best way possible on Saturday. Two twenty-minute races follow a morning qualifying session, offering ample opportunity for spectators to see the single-seaters at their very best.

The weekend also marks a return to the circuit for both the Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship and the Sports 2000 Championship. Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship remains a fantastic fit for anyone who enjoys freedom in regulations to develop, engineer and race prototypes. All four classes will be in attendance at Silverstone (CSP1, CSP2, CSPA and CSPB), providing plenty of competition and a wide array of machinery. Equally competitive is the Sports 2000 championship, which hosts racing on both Saturday and Sunday. Drivers will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Michael Gibbins and Charlie Hyett, who won the Duratec and Historic championships last year respectively.

Gripping single-make action will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday by our friends at MSV Trackdays. On Saturday, Miata Trophy returns following a stellar debut season in 2023. The championship welcomes two different generation of Mazda MX-5 on a single grid, all vying for overall glory. Inaugural Champion Declan Lee is back amongst those looking for the podium places at Silverstone, while the popular and innovative qualifying format SuperPole is also back for 2024.

Sunday’s timetable is dominated by EnduroKA. The fun, quirky endurance series will see a bumper grid of Mk1 Ford KAs battle it out on Silverstone’s National circuit for an epic five hour race. Expect a whole host of on-track action and some truly ingenious liveries – as each Ford KA will not only be battling for the podium places but the ‘Dagenham Dustbin’ too. The prize is awarded to the best-presented KA, as voted by the Orange Army in attendance!

Better yet, if you’re unable to attend the weekend, you won’t miss out on the action as all the racing will be livestreamed on YouTube, via the link below:
