The R&G Moto4 British Cup is one of the showcase support races to the British Superbike Championship, fully focused on developing the stars of the future in the Road to MotoGP™ programme. 

The inaugural BTC season took place in 2018, the technical regulations mirror the highly successful Dorna promoted European Talent Cup, which specifies the exclusive use of an essentially standard specification Honda NSF250R motorcycle. That makes it an even playing field for the sole British Moto3™ Championship class.

A full season in the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship the following season is up for grabs, and two riders will also be granted the opportunity to participate in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup selection event. These three riders will be selected by Dorna from the top nationals from the British Isles, as the championship is open to all nationalities.
